Most of us, (of a certain age!), are familiar with the game shows the Krypton Factor and The Crystal Maze. Our Krypton Maze is a team building combination of both concepts to give your teams exceptional team building activities. Each of the teams face a series of cerebral and physical challenges that they must complete. However, the real outcome of this activity is to help the team members understand how they can actually become more effective as a team. This activity is great fun, but we also offer the option of each activity being facilitated by one of our experienced teambuilding facilitators who leads the team into discovering about their team dynamics.
We can also tailor our feedback toward any existing organizational goals that you have to make a more bespoke and relevant experience for the participants. We can also run these activities to help support behavioral analysis sessions such as Belbin, SDI, MBTI or others.
The activities have been especially designed in order to promote, (to name a few), discussion, dealing with change, decision making and of course team working. As mentioned, they are also great fun!
Covert Manouveres - As all but one of your team is blindfolded, can they be safely led across our challenging course? A teambuilding activity based on trust and communication that will bring teams together to finish the task.
Bridge Build - Your team have a number of items with which they can get from location x to location y. Can they use the items in the correct way in order to reach the other side?
Synergy - The team are placed onto platforms, on which they must remain, and then negotiate an obstacle course in order to retrieve their prize at the far end. The team must work as one cohesive unit in order to achieve the task.
Photo Mission - You are given a number of obscure images that have been taken around the event location. The teams must then not only find the location of the picture, but also take as exact a replica as possible. Attention to detail is crucial for this task to be a success.
Winter Biathlon - the team are placed onto a set of giant skis on which they must complete a tricky obstacle course. Once at the far end, they must use our state of the art air rifles to knock down the targets in order to then race to the finish line.
Pipe Dreams - Ball bearings have to be transported along several lengths of pipe to their final location. However, the pipes are not joined in any way and are full of holes. Can the team work together to complete the challenge?
Serendipity - Several items need to be retrieved from within a specified zone. The teams only have a few resources with which to retrieve them. Can they work out how the items can safely be retrieved?
The Orbital - a number of silver orbs are positioned around a specified area. The team has to lay a path using a series of planks in order to obtain as many of the orbs as possible.
Da Vinci Bridge - The great inventor Leonardo Da Vinci once designed a bridge that was capable of being built using only interlocking pieces of wood. The teams are given the right amount of wood, but can they work out the design?
Communication, Communication - The teams are split into 'describers' - who have to convey the details of a diagram, and 'listners' who are responsible for replicating the diagram as closely as possible. This is where communication skills are tested to the max!
Semaphore - Teams are given the Semaphore Code and flags and asked to communicate some set messages to each other. Will the teams be able to follow their instructions exactly?
Wired - The team is presented with a circuit board which has a number of colour coded diodes that need to have the correct wires connected. Can the team work it out?
Pressure - A number of units have to be moved from one pressure pad to another. However, there are stipulations and these have to be followed if the bomb is to be deactivated!!
Volatile - An experiment has gone wrong and our scientists have created a very unstable mixture! Can the teams split the liquid into the right components to stop the mixture going critical?
Build That Tune - You are presented with an MP3 player with a distinctive tune played on it. You are also given connecting blocks, wooden runners, balls and individual xylophone plates. All you have to do is replicate the tune you heard exactly as it was played to you by constructing a structure that a ball will run through striking the plates to replicate the tune!
The Harlequin - The team is presented with a number of coloured squares divided into quadrants. The objective is to match up the squares so that the colours are coordinated. Sounds simple but is fiendishly difficult!
Brainteasers - A number of tricky lateral thinking brainteasers are given to the team. Will they retreat into their own thoughts, or enlist the help of each team member to come up with the fiendishly difficult answers?
Chemical Reaction - The team are presented with three containers, with the largest containing a volatile liquid that will cause a catastrophic meltdown unless it is split equally into two parts. However, the containers don't allow measurements, so how can this be done?
Sword Balance - You are presented with a number of swords that must be balanced on top of the 'master' sword. This is a tricky problem solving activity that will test your cooperation skills to the maximum!
Tangram - the ancient puzzle that was Napoleon's only form of entertainment during his exile on Elba! All you have to do is make all the pieces fit to become a large square - and we promise not to send you into exile even if you fail!
Egg Toss - The teams are given a number of items with which to build a contraption to throw an egg the furthest distance possible. How far will your teams achieve?
Egg Tower (indoor) - How tall can the teams build a tower out of nothing but paper and cello tape? It must also be capable of supporting an egg at the top!
Crystal Dome - Each team must delegate one person to enter the dome for their earned time period in order to grab as much gold as possible. The winning team will be the one that grabs the most gold!
Giant Assault Course - In true Krypton Factor style, you can finish the day with the dreaded assault course! It's a team time trial over a giant inflatable assault course, so along with the pain, there will be plenty of laughs!
