The venue itself has been rebuilt since a fire burnt it down in 1840. It was then rebuilt in 1860 on the same site to a similar style. This venue has bared witness to the courtship of Jayne Seymour the third wife of Henry VIII, Treason and visits from other royalty such as Queen Elizabeth.
It has passed through many different families until it was taken over in 2001 by the Dare Family and was turned into the spectacular venue it is now.
The venue now has 21 dedicated meeting and syndicate rooms, 92 well appointed bedrooms and 35 acres of gardens and grounds ideal for your teambuilding.
It's just 40 minutes away from London, so great for a break away from the big city.
