As the nominees for Sports Personality of the Year are announced, it provides us with yet another excuse to celebrate the sheer amazingness of an incredible year of sport for the UK.
It is fair to say not everybody was looking forward to the Olympic Games coming back to London, but I think we can all agree, the effect it has had on this country and it's people has been astonishing. Our pride in our volunteers, organisers, sports men and women and our country has been overwhelming.
